Thalamus Transition to Residency Series

A year-long guide from application to intern year

About this Series

Applying to residency can feel overwhelming, in part because much of the information available comes from internet searches or word of mouth that often lacks context or accuracy. The Thalamus Transition to Residency Webinar Series is a year-long, complimentary, and comprehensive program designed to bring clarity to the process by offering myth-dispelling insights grounded in how residency recruitment actually works.

Presented by Thalamus.Org, the series is led in collaboration with Thalamus experts who bring a rare, firsthand perspective. This includes the Founder and CEO, a former residency applicant; the Co-Founder, a current program director; members of the product support and success team who previously served as program coordinators; and the broader team behind the platform that supports residency interviews nationwide.

Together, they offer a behind-the-scenes view into timelines, decisions, and dynamics that are rarely explained openly. By replacing speculation with transparency, the series helps applicants move through the process with greater confidence, perspective, and a clearer understanding of what truly matters.
